(부산=연합뉴스) 신정훈 기자 The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 28th that it will operate a "visiting Korean class" and a "Dodam Dodam Korean class" to improve multicultural and North Korean students' Korean capabilities starting next month.
The city's education office believes that the demand for Korean language education will increase as the number of multicultural students continues to increase, and earlier this month, the number of Korean language teachers increased from 45 to 62.
Based on this, from the 1st of next month, the 'visiting Korean class' and the 'Dodam Dodam Korean class' will be expanded.
Visiting Korean language classes (visiting types) match multicultural students and Korean language instructors and support Korean language education within 10 hours a week until the end of the year.
It is aimed at multicultural students who have significantly lower Korean proficiency.
Dodam Dodam Korean Classroom (Center-type) will be operated until February next year for middle-income and multicultural students who have difficulty transferring to schools and Korean classes.
Each students will be provided non-face-to-face or face-to-face classes within 10 hours per week.
